Anti-Police Banner Draped Over Tunnel On Route 15
The banner, which called for justice for victims of "police terrorism," was seen during the morning commute and removed by DOT crews.

NEW HAVEN, CT — An anti-police banner that called for justice for victims of “police terrorism” was draped over the West Rock Tunnel on Route 15 in New Haven and seen during the morning commute on Wednesday, according to multiple reports. The banner was hung on the northbound entrance to the tunnel, which is also known as “Heroes Tunnel.”
WTNH News 8 reports several motorists submitted photos of the banner, which read “ABOLISH THE POLICE” at the top and was followed by “Revolutionary justice for Daniel Shaver, Jayson Negron, Zoe Dowdell, & all victims of police terrorism.”
The banner was hung overnight and state police stopped traffic on the northbound side after the morning commute for DOT crews to remove the banner, according to WFSB 3.
