NEW HAVEN, CT — Last Thursday afternoon, cops were flagged down by a victim who reported being threatened by someone with whom they were previously in a relationship, later identified as Roger Harrison, 30, of New Haven.

Police said that the victim alleged Harrison came to their home several times under various pretexts during the previous day, such as wanting to pick up belongings, although he had none here.

"At one point, Harrison blocked the driveway so the victim was unable to leave and made several threats of shooting them," police said.

Once the victim was able to leave the house, Harrison chased them through several different streets until they approached officers who were conducting an unrelated traffic stop, police said.

The victim told the cops that "Harrison saw them talking and threatened to shoot all of them," police added.

"The victim pointed out Harrison, who parked nearby, but when officers attempted to order him out of the vehicle, he fled at a high rate of speed," authorities said.

Around an hour later, plainclothes officers found Harrison in his vehicle, and he was taken into custody without incident, according to police spokesperson Officer Christian Bruckhart.

During a search, cops found "fentanyl packaged for sale along with a large amount of cash," he said.

Harrison was charged with first-degree threatening, first-degree harassment, second-degree stalking, violation of a protective order, interfering with an officer, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, and possession of a controlled substance.

Given a $150,000 bail, he's currently being held at the New Haven jail.
