New Haven Police Host National Night Out At Winslow Field Aug. 1

Designed to promote police community partnerships, neighborhood cohesion, and camaraderie, it includes food, games, music, arcade and more.

NEW HAVEN, CT —The New Haven Police Department will be hosting a National Night Out event on August 1 from 4p.m. to 7 p.m. at 251 Wilmot Road, Winslow field. The annual event promotes police-community partnerships, neighborhood cohesion, camaraderie, and awareness of police programs.

The event promises to be an enjoyable evening for all ages with activities such as food, ice cream truck, raffle prizes, arcade trailer, water games, and more. It also features a prescription drug take back.

National Night Out is an opportunity for neighbors to meet, interact, and get to know one
another and local law enforcement representatives. The event is a crucial platform that
strengthens relationships between communities and the police departments, which ultimately
leads to safer, better, and more caring neighborhoods.

“We are thrilled to invite the community to join us for this year’s National Night Out,” said

The annual event is celebrated across thousands of communities in the United States on the
first Tuesday of August every year, and the City of New Haven is proud to be part of it. All
