Southern CT State University Hosts Well-Being In Black Community Panel

The Tuesday discussion at SCSU explores "navigating the world while Black in areas such as career, physical, health, and mental health."

NEW HAVEN, CT —Southern Connecticut State University’s Wellbeing Center is hosting a panel discussion on the challenges of navigating the world while Black in areas such as career, physical, health, and mental health.

This panel discussion is free and open to the community.

The discussion includes panelists Allyson Regis, PhD, Michelle-Lee Williams, MBA and Marian Evans, MD, MPH, CRA.

The SCSU Wellbeing Center Coordinator, Regis is a licensed psychologist who is looking to continue developing/implementing initiatives in support of anti-racism, diversity, belonging, and mental health within the college environment and workplace. A Stony Brook University and Fordham University graduate, Regis earned a certificate from Cornell University and is an adjunct professor at New York University as well.

The event is set for Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 6 p.m. at the SCSU Adanti Student Center, 345 Fitch St., New Haven
