While "Linsanity" erupts in the sports world, Coast Guard Academy basketball coach Kevin Jaskiewicz knew Jeremy Lin was "special" before he made a name for himself with the Knicks, GoLocalProv reports.
According to the article, Jaskiewicz was an assistant coach at Brown University and saw Lin play as a high school senior.

“His physical stature was nothing to look at,” Jaskiewicz, said of Lin in the article.
“He was this scrawny kid who didn’t fit the prototype of a division one point guard. But when you watched him play, you could see how talented he was," Jaskiewicz said in the article. "He was very unselfish about getting the ball to his open teammates, but he also showed how he could control the ball and control the game like all great point guards do.”
