Art Opening Reception & Artist Talk - “Entering to a New Uniververce”

Expressiones Cultural Center is very proud to share with our entire community the Art of Jairo Robinson.  He  comes to Expressiones Cultural Center as an artist-in-residence  though our Latin American Artist in Residence Program and will have his Solo Art Show starting on October 8 and ending on November  3.

Jairo Robinson presents a body of acrylics on canvas and paper abstract artworks. Each one titled in the style of abstract works, alluding to the number and date of "construction / building ". Jairo Robinson’s constructivism takes the viewer on a journey that immerses them in his lines and shapes that try to dominate the irrational, making it the triumph of the real and unreal, and at the same time the triumph of the unattainable.

JAIRO ROBINSON (Lima, 1982), studied at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes in Lima between 2003 and 2007, graduating with the specialties of drawing and painting. He has presented his work individually at Forests (Yacana Rock Art & Bar, 2008), Construction (UNIFE Sacred Heart University, 2009), Paints (Hotel Los Delfines, 2010) and Inrush (Gallery Contemporary Art-Link, 2011).

In addition to participating in group shows held in major cultural centres and galleries in Peru, United States, Spain, Germany and England, his work is in the collections of the School of Art Emilio Caraffa (Córdoba-Argentina), in the Coliceo Roberto De Vicenzo (Buenos Aires-Argentina) and the Museum of the Americas (Miami-USA).
