Ivan Romero from Venezuela Artist in Residence at Expressiones Cultural Center Art Opening & Artist Reception

Expressiones Cultural Center is proud to launch the first Solo Art Exhibition of Venezuelan Artist Ivan Romero in the United States.  A body of work painted during his time in the United States having as inspiration New York Central Park and New London Thames River.

Big size acrylic on canvas and on paper. Known for his brilliantly colours abstract paintings of landscapes,  Romero has perfected an energetic style that seems to explode with dramatic intensity.

Ivan Romero currently lives and works in San Cristobel, close to Caracas - Venezuela. In addition to teaching, he has exhibited extensively across South America. His paintings are a study of landscape and the abstract world of colour and light.

Romero’s work is a meditation, flamboyantly expressed with powerful gestures of applied hues that create a rhythm of sound and energy.
