Previously on the Garde stage beside Herbie Hancock, international jazz guitarist Lionel Loueke, from the West African country of Benin, brings to the Garde Oasis Room his stalwart sidemen, Swedish-born bassist Massimo Biolcati and Hungarian drummer Ferenc Nemeth. Dubbed by Hancock as “a musical painter” Loueke's guitar has many voices, textures and rhythms, complemented by his gentle, husky, sincere baritone and melting falsetto vocals. His trio will take you on intimate joyous journey from his African roots to a new form of jazz, creating a refreshing and inviting musical experience you won’t ever forget.
