In 24 hours, seven new plays will be conceived, written, and rehearsed culuminating in a one-night only, world premiere performance.
42 actors, directors and playwrights, matched by random selection into seven mini-theater troupes will come together 24 hours before the curtain goes up. The playwrights have 12 hours to write a brand new play given a previously unknown theme and undisclosed prop, and peopled with their cast they will meet for the first time.
At the 12-hour mark, the directors and casts begin rehearsals on a script they have not seen until that moment. Given one day to get their work done, the curtain goes up on the show that night, ready or not!
