The making of the 1957 film The Prince and the Showgirl, which starred Marilyn Monroe and Laurence Olivier is the subject of this reenactment of the week in which Monroe spent time being escorted around Britain by Colin Clark, after her husband, Arthur Miller, left the country.Monroe (in a star turn by Michelle Williams) begins filming The Prince and the Showgirl in London, hoping that–with prestigious co-star Laurence Olivier– she will convince the world that her sex goddess persona is only one expression of her acting gift.
