Tall ships from around the world, led by America’s own Coast Guard Barque Eagle, return to Connecticut for OpSail2012CT. The event commemorates the Bicentennial Anniversary of the War of 1812 and the writing of the American national anthem, The Star-Spangled Banner.
The weekend will feature a Parade of Sail from Niantic to New London Harbor, a festival including history and heritage events, food, concert performances by the U.S. Coast Guard Band, and spectacular fireworks.
