Summer Vacation Exploration Camp: Surviving Science Island

Your 1st to 6th graders will spend their school vacation learning and having fun during The Connecticut Science Center’s Summer Vacation Exploration Camps. Attend one week or all four.  Drop off - 8:30AM. Pick up - 3:30 to 4PM. Extended Care from 4 to 5PM ($20 fee). Cost: $300 per week for Non-members/$289 per week Employees of Businesses in Downtown Hartford (5% discount)/ $270 per week for Members and Corporate Members (10% discount). WEEK 3, August 13-17: Surviving Science Island: Stranded on Science Island with a hurricane on its way. . . No problem! To survive, you must investigate the environment, the plants and animals! Discover what the human body needs to live. Generate electricity from natural sources and filter your own water! Design your own mini tree house built to survive the oncoming hurricane!
