On this last RN Wednesday for the month of May, meet Renee Lacadie – a nurse in her home state of Maine for five years before moving to Connecticut with her family two years ago. Today, she is a certified rehab nurse on L+M’s Unit 5.1, with plans to enter a nurse practitioner program at UConn this summer. “What I enjoy most about being a nurse,” she says, “is the ability to provide my patients with the tools and education to live a healthier and more independent life.”
