NEW LONDON, CT — Fire crews rescued a driver after their car careened down an embankment in New London, WTNH News-8 reported. The New London Fire Department found the car stuck down the embankment with a person still inside early Thursday morning.

Crews stabilized the car and used a grip hoist to hold it in place. Firefighters removed the driver from the car using a stokes basket.
