New London Man Sentenced In Carjacking Case, Prosecutors Say

A New London man is facing a long time in prison for stealing a vehicle that he crashed after fleeing police, according to prosecutors.

NEW LONDON, CT — A New London man was sentenced to 28 years in prison, suspended after 20, for his role in a carjacking, according to Paul J. Narducci, state’s attorney for the New London Judicial District.

Victor Hall, 32, of New London, will also serve five years of probation.

On March 10, 2023, New London police received a report of a carjacking and notified nearby authorities. Waterford police found a car matching the description of the stolen vehicle and officers attempted to stop the driver, later identified as Hall.

Hall then fled from police and eventually crashed the car, according to the statement. Hall tried to escape on foot but was captured by police. Police found a gun the nearby area.

In October, a jury found Hall guilty of first-degree robbery, third-degree robbery, second-degree larceny, larceny of a motor vehicle, and criminal possession of a firearm.
