UPDATE: New London Mayor Michael Passero Hospitalized for Observation
He appeared to pass out Monday during a legislative breakfast meeting hosted by Electric Boat.
Updated at 1:03 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 25, 2016: New London Mayor Michael Passero has been temporarily hospitalized for observation following his passing out during a legislative breakfast meeting Monday morning.
The Day reports that Passero is alert and says he feels fine, but doctors are checking on him for a possible slow heart rate, also known as bradycardia.
How long he will be in the hospital was not immediately known.

Passero was taken from the Mystic Marriott, where the meeting was held, by stretcher but appeared to be conscious and speaking.
