Person Found Dead In New London, Police Investigating: UPDATE
Police said they are investigating after finding a person dead in New London.
NEW LONDON, CT — Police said they are investigating after a man was found dead Monday on Cedar Grove Avenue in New London.
According to a news release, police said officers responded to the area at approximately 7:09 a.m. and located the body in a lot there.
"The area was immediately secured by officers and detectives responded to process the scene," Captain Brian M. Wright said in a release. "Both the New London County States Attorney's Office and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner were notified and are assisting with the investigation."

Police said the identity of the man is pending, and the cause of death remains under investigation.
