Police Investigating Dead Body Found in New London Apartment

NEW LONDON, CT - Police are investigating after locating a decreased man's body inside a Green Street apartment Wednesday afternoon.

On Wednesday at approximately 12:43 p.m., the department received a phone call from a concerned citizen stating that their neighbor hadn't been seen in an extended period of time. They also had mentioned a strange odor coming from the neighbor's apartment.

Officers were immediately dispatched to the location for a well-being check, according to a release. Officers located a deceased male inside the apartment shortly after arrival, and detectives responded to the scene for further investigation.

The deceased male was transported to the office of the Chief Medial Examiner. No cause of death has been determined at this time.
