According to principal Jaye Wilson, Joy O’Toole deserves to be this week’s Whiz Kid. As a member of the Connecticut Inventors’ Club, Joy invented a way to legally ride a bike while listening to music. This multi-talented student has a love of travel and has numerous interests both in and out of school.
Tell me about your invention.
There is a law against riding your bike while listening to MP3s. My dad and I put the transducer right under a helmet. This means someone can listen to their music while still obeying the law.

What other interests do you have?
I love art and listening to music. My favorite thing to do is art. At home, I like to climb trees, build a pool (another invention), watch TV, and get into snow suits and play in the snow.
