Members weighed how the required protective well radii overlapped neighboring parcels, including utility land unlikely to be developed, before unanimously approving the requested exemptions.

• New Milford Hockey Coach Killed In Motorcycle Crash In New Hampshire (patch.com) — New Milford residents are mourning Canterbury School hockey coach Andrey Uryadov, a town resident who died in a motorcycle crash in New Hampshire. The longtime mentor and former South Kent School standout was preparing to lead Canterbury's boys varsity team, and colleagues say his influence on young players and his devotion to family will be deeply missed.

• Motorist Charged In Fatal NY Crash That Killed New Milford Man (patch.com) — A New Milford man, 65-year-old Michael T. Keller, was killed in a January 2025 crash on I-684 in Southeast, New York, and the other driver has now been arrested on manslaughter and related charges. State police say the driver lost control, hit a guiderail, then struck Keller's vehicle, causing both cars to overturn off the highway. The defendant was arraigned and released, with another court date set for late September.
