• Newtown Attorney Sentenced For Tax Evasion, Failing To Pay Penalties & Interest (newtownbee.com) — A Newtown attorney has been sentenced to 10 months in prison and ordered to repay nearly $2.9 million after years of failing to file tax returns and pay what he owed. Federal prosecutors say his unfiled and underpaid taxes stretched from 2012 through 2022, and he must report to prison in January 2027, giving local residents a clear outcome to a long-running case.
