Body of Woman Found in Collis Huntington State Park
The body was found after an hours-long search in the park in Bethel, Newtown and Redding, and involved a State Police helicopter.

A woman was found deceased inside Collis Huntington State Park after about a three hour search.
The Bethel Police Dispatch Center received a call from a family member of a despondent female resident who was inside Collis Huntington State Park in need of urgent medical assistance, according to Bethel Police.

Bethel Police, the Fire Department and an ambulance responded to the park and began a search with assistance from Redding Police and the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
An initial search turned up nothing so police requested the help of State Police. State Police brought in a helicopter that discovered the body of the woman.
