We just wanted to share this inspirational original piece of poetry with those in Newtown, CT to let them know that people everywhere are keeping them in their thoughts and prayers as we are. Our words are so small and their loss is so great. My daughter, Kristen Pokorny, 15 wrote this poem in 2010 for her friends who had lost their father. Now when we want to share some happiness with those who have lost loved ones, we send this. We hope in some small way this eases some of the sadness.
The Life Light

Written for those who have lost a loved one - especially for those who need it most.
There is a light that we all see, every morning and every night. We look upon that light of life, and we are happy when we see it. But when we don’t; when that time has come that it has to burn out…… We should still be happy, Because we all go To a better place.
So, we can be sad, We can cry, But we can still be happy. Happy that our own light is still burning bright, and happy that, the light that has gone had an amazing life for us to honor. Death is only a path that we all must take. And we all take it at different times. So, we will all see each other again, in the future, at the end of death, where the light truly lives. An amazing place, with color and light, with a new and different life and happiness. So please do not be sad, be happy. We will see them again.
