Consumers Petroleum Breaks Ground on New Wheels Convenience Store in Newtown
Local CITGO Marketer expands presence in Newtown.

Representatives from local CITGO Marketer Consumers Petroleum and Newtown township recently broke ground on a new Wheels Convenience Store and gas station at 67 Churchill Road in Newtown, Connecticut, just off of I-84.
Newtown officials were also present at the site.
“Our goal is to provide consumer-friendly convenience stores and gas stations,” Rich Wiehl, chairman of Consumers Petroleum said in a press release. “We’re planning every detail of this brand new location with that goal in mind. From the convenience offerings and food service inside the store to the CITGO TriCLEAN gasoline outside at the pump, this will be a location that supports our local community and delivers a first-class customer experience.”

Expected to open before the summer driving season begins, the new CITGO-branded Wheels location will feature Wheels-branded, made-to-order food service, in addition to an array of convenience items in the 3,400 square foot store. The location is right off Interstate 84 with six fueling positions available to motorists.
CITGO officials said they were excited about the new location opening in Newtown.
