Newtown Flasher to Get Psychiatric Treatment

He was arrested last year following numerous accusations of exposing himself on a Fairfield beach.

NEWTOWN, CT --- A judge has granted a Newtown man, charged with exposing himself to teen-aged girls on Fairfield's Jennings Beach, a pretrial probation program.

Under the supervised diversionary program, William Connelly, 62, will undergo psychiatric treatment. He has been ordered to have no contact with the victims and stay away from Jennings Beach.

Connelly was arrested in October, 2017, after several reported incidents of him exposing himself. Connelly turned himself in after police began distributing photos and videos taken of him in the act, and was charged with one count of risk of injury to a minor, three counts of second-degree breach of peace and three counts of public indecency.
