Zen and The Art of Seeing: Photography As Meditation

A Two-Part Seminar Offered By Photographer & Artist Elisabeth J. Levy

Have you ever looked at the veins in the petal of a flower? Gazed upon the reflections of trees and their leaves on water? Noticed the beauty of the dance of Light upon snowmelt as it flows down a street? How many colors can you name that you’ve seen glistening on snow? When we slow down and look, really Look, we are gifted with “New Eyes” with which to experience the Beauty of Nature at a level that most people never take the time to notice.

Using the Camera as a Meditative tool we expand our Connection to the Natural world and hence, the Divine. The process itself is largely the Purpose. The images you create become an added bonus and an inspirational reminder of the value of slowing down to See. If you are looking for a Technical Photography Course, this Seminar is not for you. If you are interested in learning to use your Camera to expand your relationship with Nature, be inspired, and help you cultivate Inner Peace, this two part seminar is for you.

Teens serious about photography welcome. All students must bring their own camera. Digital SLR Camera with programmable settings preferred, but not required.
