Hamden Man Pointed Gun at Woman's Face While Stealing Chainsaw from Home Depot: North Haven Police

The man was arrested on a warrant and police are seeking information on the driver of the getaway vehicle.

A Hamden man has been charged with pointing a gun at a female employee’s face while stealing a chainsaw from Home Depot in North Haven, according to police.

North Haven police arrested Frankie Moore, 47, on a warrant Thursday for the Feb. 13 incident.

Police said Moore entered the store, at 111 Universal Drive in North Haven, and selected a chainsaw and attempted to leave without paying.

As a female store employee confronted Moore, he retrieved a handgun from his jacket and pointed it at the woman’s face, according to police.

Moore then fled the store and entered a tan SUV that someone else was driving. The store associate was not injured during the incident.

Police said Moore was arrested outside of his Hamden residence without incident.

Moore was charged with first-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny. He was held on a $200,000 bond and was scheduled to be arraigned in Meriden Superior Court on Thursday.
