North Haven Police: Man Stole More Than $30,000 Worth of Alarm Equipment from Employer

Naugatuck police assisted North Haven with the investigation after a large amount of equipment was sold to a pawnshop.

With the assistance of the Naugatuck Police Department, North Haven police arrested a Torrington man for allegedly stealing more than $30,000 worth of items from his employer.

Detectives from Naugatuck were conducting an investigation when they noticed a large amount of commercial grade alarm equipment was sold to a local pawnshop, North Haven police said in a press release.

Those detectives worked with North Haven investigators to determine the suspect, 33-year-old Jeremy Kalish, worked for a North Haven alarm company.

North Haven detectives worked with the business owner and several pawnshops throughout the state to recover the stolen items.

Kalish was arrested by warrant and charged with first-degree larceny. Kalish was held on a $25,000 bond and transported to Meriden Superior Court Tuesday morning for arraignment.
