• Lane Closures Announced For Milling, Resurfacing Project In North Haven (patch.com) — Drivers in North Haven should prepare for overnight lane closures on Route 17 as a state milling and resurfacing project runs from early September through early October. Work will stretch from Route 80 in New Haven to Spring Road in North Haven, with traffic control personnel guiding motorists and possible schedule changes if weather or other issues arise.
   

• College interns waited in police car while CT detective visited woman: Complaint (nhregister.com) — A New Haven police detective allegedly drove University of New Haven interns to the Clarion Inn in North Haven, then left them waiting in a cruiser while he made a personal visit, according to an internal affairs report. The investigation confirmed misuse of a department vehicle and led to a temporary suspension of the graduate internship program while New Haven police review their policies.
