'Blight' Warning Issued against Norwalk Property Owner: Report

The property, located on Wall Street in downtown Norwalk, was the site of a fire half-a-dozen years ago.

NORWALK, CT — Ganga Duleep, owner of a property at 45 Wall St. in Norwalk, has been issued a warning by the city to clean up the blighted building, which was the site of a fire half-a-dozen years ago, reports The Hour.

The boarded up property has graffiti and broken windows, among other external eyesores, according to officials who give her until Nov. 19 to clean up the exterior. Wall Street is in the midst of revitalization, with the Wall Street Theater re-opening, and Connecticut Public Television eyeing a move to another property on the street.

Some work reportedly began on cleaning up the site in 2013, but much or all of those efforts have stopped, which prompted the city's warning. Duleep has the right to appeal and/or file for an extension.
