In Norwalk: Marine Communications Class March 3

For the recreational boater the VHF radio is a vital link to shore and other boaters.It is used for everything from hailing a launch to summoning help. Learn about thevarious systems and features of marine communications, including transmitters, receivers and transceivers, Emergency Position Indicating RadioBeacon (EPIRB), Digital Selective Calling (DSC), Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS), satellite communications, amateur radio, and more.

Class is from 9:00am-1:00pm on Saturdays for 5 sessions. Cost is $70 for USPS members and $120 for non-members. 1 year free membership in USPS is included for non-members.
