Role of Diet in Chronic Pain

Chronic pain persists for weeks, months or years, and its source can sometimes be a mystery.  The cause can be a long since healed injury, but it may also be a degenerative condition, persistent inflammation or high levels of toxicity in the tissues.  Pain affects as many as 9 in 10 of the people
in the United States.  Modern pain control can be divided into four categories: drugs, surgery, sensory modulation and psychological assistance.  But a growing body of research suggests that what we eat has a profound effect on how
we feel.
