2 Displaced After Fire Breaks Out At Norwich Home
Two people were displaced and four area fire departments responded to fight the blaze Monday afternoon.
NORWICH, CT — Two residents were displaced following a fire Monday afternoon in Norwich, WTNH News-8 reported.
The fire broke out at 35 Lafayette St. at 12:13 p.m. Monday, according to a post from Norwich Firefighters Local 892.
Crews responded from the Norwich, Yantic, East Great Plain, and Mohegan Tribal departments responded.

It took an hour to extinguish the fire, and the house was significantly damaged, according to WTNH News-8.
The American Red Cross assisted the people who were displaced. Norwich Public Utilities responded to assist with a power line that had already burned off the house prior to the fire department’s arrival, according to Norwich Firefighters Local 892.
