• Connecticut nor'easter destroys several homes, including in Old Saybrook and Wolcott (ctpost.com) — A powerful nor'easter toppled a large tree onto a George Drive home in Old Saybrook, causing major roof damage but thankfully no injuries, according to local firefighters. Residents are now staying with family as the broader storm continues to cause flooding, outages, and additional tree damage across Connecticut, including another destroyed home in Wolcott.

• Widow of man killed in 2024 Old Saybrook boat crash sues operator, marina (newsbreak.com) — Families connected to the deadly 2024 boat crash at the mouth of the Connecticut River in Old Saybrook are now suing the vessel's operator and the local Safe Harbor Marina, alleging negligence and unsafe boating. The lawsuits claim the operator was intoxicated, uninsured, and speeding when the boat struck a breakwater, killing three men and injuring others.

• Clinton, shoreline clean up after nor'easter flooding (nbcconnecticut.com) — Recent nor'easter flooding pushed unusually high tides along the shoreline from Old Saybrook to Milford, briefly disrupting coastal communities. In nearby Clinton, harbor flooding closed roads and forced restaurants like Lobster Landing to shut down for the weekend, though waters have receded and businesses are reopening with protective steps in place for future storms.
