• Oxford Residents Can Dispose Of Hazardous Waste Saturday (patch.com) — Oxford residents have a chance this Saturday to safely drop off household hazardous waste, including paints, chemicals, and gasoline, at a free regional collection in nearby Ansonia. The event, organized by the Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments, is open to Oxford and neighboring towns, with clear rules on what's accepted, required proof of residency, and how to stay in your vehicle during drop-off.
   

• Kettletown Bridge Replacement Included In $10M State Funding Package (patch.com) — Major state funding will replace a damaged bridge at Kettletown State Park, which spans Oxford and Southbury and was hard-hit by 2024 flooding. Several popular trails and the campground will stay closed through the 2026 season, though day-use areas and some trails in Oxford remain open without swimming allowed.
