The deadline for Ridgefield residents to change their political party preference in time for the 2024 Presidential Election is approaching.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — The deadline to change your political party preference in time for the 2024 Presidential Election is approaching.
The Presidential Preference Primary is Tuesday, April 2, 2024. The deadline for enrolled party members to transfer enrollment from one party to the other, for voting in their “new” party’s primary, is Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
Connecticut state statutes require party changes be submitted 90 days prior to date of a
primary.
Residents unsure what party they're enrolled in, or if they are registered, should visit the Secretary of the State's website and use the “Voter Registration” look up tool.
