Several vehicles were broken into recently, police said.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Police are investigating three vehicle burglaries that occurred at the Ridgefield Parks and Recreation Center on Danbury Road Jan. 19.

"In addition to locking your vehicle and taking the keys, it also is important to remove all valuables," Kreitz said. "Thieves target parking areas where individuals are more likely to leave their personal belongings behind such as gym facilities and outdoor recreation areas."

Ridgefield is far from the only town that has experienced a problem with vehicle burglaries recently. Trumbull saw eight cases where vehicles were stolen from an LA Fitness location. In many instances keys were left in unsecured lockers.
