Ridgefield Dad Can Leave State for Holidays

Kyle Seitz, was charged with the negligent homicide of his 15-month-old son after he allegedly forgot him in the car during a hot day.

The Ridgefield father charged with the negligent homicide of his 15-month-old son will be allowed to travel out of state for the holidays.

A judge ruled Tuesday that Kyle Seitz can go out of state to spend time with his family during Christmas, according to the Connecticut Post.

Seitz pleaded not guilty to the charge in November. He allegedly forgot his son Benjamin Seitz in a car during a hot July day. Benjamin’s death was ruled a homicide caused by hyperthermia by the Office of the State Medical Examiner.

Seitz was originally prohibited from leaving the state while out on bond. His daughters left the state to avoid attention that the highly-publicized case was drawing.
