DEEP Status of State Parks

The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection is still assessing storm damage to state parks, including swimming areas and campgrounds.

As of Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at 1pm:

Swim Areas
All swim areas (shoreline and inland) are CLOSED until further notice.

The following state parks and forests are OPEN:

  • Barn Island (boat launch open, trails closed)
  • Beckley Furnace State Park
