Hikers Journey Through Quarry Park

Rocky Hill residents will continue cleanup efforts at Dividend Pond Trails this weekend.

 

A group of 22 two and a half miles of historic trails at on Sunday afternoon.

Ed Chiucarello, who organized the two hour hike, said the group traversed the former half mile long quarry.

"Thanks to all for a lovely walk in our own backyard," he said.

Volunteers will be on Saturday at 8 a.m.

People are asked to bring the following items along with "a desire to move lots of brush and garbage," Chiucarello said:

  • Gloves
  • Loppers or Pruners
  • Saw
  • Garbage Bags
  • Water (to drink)
  • Flat Shovel
  • Rakes
  • Leaf Blower
  • Trucks
