Malloy Is America's Third Least Popular Governor: Survey
Morning Consult crunched the numbers. For the two-term Connecticut governor it could be worse; he could be New Jersey's Chris Christie.

Though his approval rating ticked up a couple of notches, Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy remains deeply unpopular among the state's voters, according to Morning Consult's latest survey of "America's Most & Least Popular Governors."
Malloy, who has not announced whether he will seek reelection, has an approval rating of 29 percent and a disapproval rating of 66 percent, making him the nation's third most-unpopular governor.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is the nation's least popular governor, with a disapproval rating of 71 percent (25 percent approve of his performance), followed by Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback with a 66 percent disapproval rating (27 percent approve).

Morning Consult polled 85,000 registered voters between January and March of this year to come up with the ratings, and at least Malloy can say his numbers improved slightly from last year. To read the Morning Consult's methodology, click here.
At the other end of the spectrum, Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker has the nation's highest approval rating at an incredible 75 percent, and only 17 percent disapprove of his performance.

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan is next with a 73 percent approval rating (16 percent disapprove), followed by North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum (69 percent approve to 16 percent disapprove).
