Bruno Petronis, age 76, of Oxford entered into rest on Monday, March 27th, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Nurtingen, Germany, the son of the late Balys and Anna Petronis. Bruno was the beloved husband of Janet Johnson for 54 joyous years.
Bruno lived in Stratford from 1978 to 1983 until he moved to Oxford. He proudly served with the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Bruno was very proud of his Lithuanian Heritage. He loved to play pool at the Oxford Senior Center. Bruno could always be found bowling, skiing or fishing and was an avid outdoorsman.
Bruno is survived by his sons, Christopher Petronis (Dorota) and Douglas Petronis (Trish). He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Daniel Petronis, Deanna Petronis, Nicole Petronis, Andrew Petronis, and Sophia Petronis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Bruno is predeceased by his sister, Angela Grabowski.

Friends may greet Bruno’s family on Monday, April 3rd at 4:00 PM until 7:00PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. His funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM. His burial will be private. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.riverviewfh.com.
