Millwright's Tours Community Farm of Simsbury in Preparation for June 11 Farm Dinner

On Thursday, June 5, 2015 chef/owner Tyler Anderson of Millwright’s Restaurant toured the Community Farm of Simsbury with farm manager Mitchel Colgan in preparation for the first in a series of “farm to table dinners” to be held throughout the summer.

Tyler, Mitchel, Diana Goode of Gifts of Love and Jeannette Punsoni Dardenne of Millwright’s along with family dogs checked out crops, newly arrived baby pigs and the overall beauty of the farm in early spring.

As part of the overall plan to upgrade the farm, Simscroft-Echo Farms donated a new level gravel pad not only for dining comfort but for use throughout the season for the many events and programs provided by the Community Farm.

The first of the “Millwright’s at the Farm” dinners will be held on Thursday, June 11 with proceeds from all dinners to support Gifts of Love and the Community Farm of Simsbury.

On June 11, Chef/owner Tyler Anderson of Millwright’s will join forces James Wayman, chef/owner of The Oyster Club and The Engine Room in Mystic, CT for an amazing and delicious farm fresh dinner.

Exclusive access to these “Farm to Table Dinners” will cost $95 per person which includes multiple courses, tax, beverage pairings and music. Space is limited!
