Southbury Police Looking for Driver Who Crashed Into Utility Pole

Police are looking for the driver of a Ford Focus who drove into a utility pole on Purchase Brook Road late Tuesday, the Republican-American reports.

Officers found the car was on fire when they arrived on scene, however firefighters confirmed there was no one inside the car.

According to the paper, searches with infrared cameras and K-9 crews were unsuccessful in finding the driver or any other occupants of the car.

Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call the Southbury Resident Trooper’s Office at 203-264-5912. All calls will be kept confidential.
