A few spots left for King of Wing & Chili Cookoff at Central Cafe

PLAINVILLE – Central Café has once again pledged to support PARC with its annual King of the Wing and Chili Challenge set for Sunday, Jan. 27. Central Café is now located at 54 W. Main St. A few spots are left for those who wish to compete in King of the Wing eating contest.
Shirley Papallo, business owner, said PARC is her charity of choice because its commitment to people with developmental disabilities, giving them the opportunity to lead productive lives immersed in the community.
This event has been very popular for nearly 10 years with a large following of fans voting for their favorite chili and cheering on wing eaters. The chili cook-off begins at 1 p.m. and the wing eating contest is at 3:30 p.m. Chili cooks and contestants are encouraged to register now. There is a fee to enter the events.

Erica Donovan, PARC executive director, said the organization has been thrilled by Central Café’s continued generosity. This community spirit and support of one another is one reason why Plainville is a great town, Donovan said.
Prizes will be given to the three top chili chefs and the top three wing eaters. Attendees will also have the opportunity to win a large screen TV with gaming bundle and/or other prizes at 5 p.m.
