Men Brandish Knives in Argument Over Woman in South Windsor

Police were called after the woman yelled for help.

South Windsor police responded to a welfare check at a St. Marc Circle condominium on Saturday after a resident heard a woman yelling for help.

Responding officers learned that two men had each brandished knives during an argument over the woman, according to a police press release.

The woman and her male acquaintance fled prior to the police arrival.

The investigating officers arrested one of the involved parties, Darel Cooper, 56, of R8 St. Marc Circle in South Windsor.

Cooper was arrested on charges of breach of peace and threatening. Cooper was later released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and was scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Dec. 29.
