• South Windsor Students Outpace State, But Gaps Remain (patch.com) — South Windsor students are significantly outperforming statewide averages in English, math, science and SAT scores, giving local families strong news about district academics. Officials, however, flagged declining results for some grades and persistent gaps for Black students and students with disabilities, and outlined targeted steps like more data-driven instruction, new reading materials, and added support for struggling learners.
   

• Two South Windsor Restaurants Show Signs Of Opening (patch.com) — Two long-anticipated eateries, Sally's Apizza at Evergreen Walk and Benson's Bagels on Sullivan Avenue, are both moving closer to opening in South Windsor. Town reports say construction and health inspections are underway, with Benson's already cleared to bring in food and Sally's preparing interior work, though neither has announced an official opening date yet.
   

• Winless South Windsor upsets No. 6 Berlin 14-13 (wfsb.com) — South Windsor High's football team finally broke through with a dramatic 14-13 upset over sixth-ranked Berlin, giving local fans a huge win to celebrate. Behind two touchdowns from quarterback Wyatt Prather and a last-stand defensive stop on a two-point try, the Bobcats protected their slim lead and denied Berlin's final drive from the 15-yard line.
