South Windsor Public Schools Unveil Redesigned Website

New-look site did not cost the district any money and is designed to be more user friendly.

The South Windsor Public Schools' website has a new look.

The site, which can be found here and was unveiled on Oct. 11, features a different color scheme and is designed to be more user friendly.

According to Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kate Carter, the site redesign did not cost the district any money and “was done internally with support from our existing website vendor, Finalsite.”

“I am pleased that our new site is not only more visually pleasing with softer colors and crisp images, but organized in a more intuitive and user-friendly format,” Carter wrote in an e-mail to South Windsor Patch. “We have already received a great deal of positive feedback. There is always room for improvement and we will continue to make changes to ensure our website is an effective communication tool for the children and families we serve.”

In addition, Carter said that the school district is looking into adding a feature that will allow viewers to translate the site into a variety of languages. That feature is  not yet available, however.
