WILLINGTON, CT — State police confiscated 600 bags of fentanyl during a traffic stop over the weekend in Willington, arrest reports indicate.

Two Maine men with "arrest histories" were taken into custody Saturday, state police said. Todd Burdick, 53, of Sherman, ME, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, the sale of narcotics (with a related conspiracy), possession of drug paraphernalia, following too closely, a lane violation and driving under the influence, according to arrest reports. Matthew Perry, 38, of Perry, ME, was charged with the sale of narcotics and possession of a controlled substance.

The seizure was the result of a traffic stop at the Willington rest area off Interstate 84 west that originated with a tailgating incident, state police said.
