• With 1st CT Human West Nile Case Announced, How Has Mosquito Testing Gone In Stafford And Willington? (patch.com) — Stafford and Willington residents are getting some reassuring news as recent mosquito testing shows all samples from Cedar Swamp in Stafford and Pinney Hill Road in Willington have been negative for West Nile virus so far this season. Health officials still warn that statewide mosquito activity and positive tests are peaking, and they urge Stafford residents to keep using repellents, removing standing water, and taking other precautions through early fall.
   

• Johnson Hospital, Parent Medical Group, Welcome New Acute Care President (patch.com) — Stafford's own Johnson Memorial Hospital will now fall under the leadership of Dr. Robert Roose, newly appointed president of acute care for Trinity Health Of New England. While Roose oversees four hospitals across Hartford, Waterbury, and Stafford, his role is expected to strengthen operations, collaboration, and long-term planning that directly affect local patients and providers.
